Here’s a simple way to shift your state of mind from boredom and frustration to love, appreciation and gratitude.
- Place your hands on your heart centre.
- Close your eyes and gently breath there for a few moments.
- Now allow yourself to think of five things you are grateful for.
- Feel that energy of gratitude resonating at your heart centre.
NOTE: If you have more time you could practice what the Buddhists call ‘the web of kindness.’ This is a worthwhile experience. Start by thinking about one thing you are grateful for.
Let’s say it’s your car. You would now follow the ‘web of kindness.’ Who sold you the car and handed over the keys and documents? Think about the people that took care of making the safety features work. Think about the people that delivered all the parts. Who built those transporters? Who made the fry ups that they ate along the route? You get the idea. It’s infinite of course – The Web of Kindness!
